The motivation behind my paintings is an enduring interest in people; in the human spirit, it’s emotions of loss, fear and memories. Through expressive colour, mark making and collage I want to draw the viewer into the portraits for them to wonder more about the person behind the face, to provoke thought and engage my audience.
I mostly paint in acrylic/oils. I also use charcoal for my drawings
