Poultry, & game bone, ash, glazed.
h: 27 w: 27 d: 5 (cms).
This work memorialises a group of soldiers who feasted on poultry before leaving for the trenches of The Great War and the Somme. Each wished that his life would be spared. Not all those brave men's wishes came true. This work is a testament to the 64 men from that company whose young lives were lost. This is an interactive work, created by the artist. By making slow rotations of the frame, the entangled wishbones come to rest in a unique form. Thereby creating a new and evolving work of symbolism.

Bronze, painted in oils, lacquered.
h: 23 w: 18 d: 15 (cms).
This works is a facsimile representation of a brown paper bag tied at the top with string containing nothing but air. This statement piece considers the age old adage: 'A Bag of Hot Air', in a society where, truth and accuracy are increasingly blurred. Evidentially, we are no longer able to rely upon visual presentation as factual representation.
