A Dangerous Cocktail

The painting is about the feeling of being trapped and can’t find the way out. The hornet in the top of the glass is frantically trying to find its way out of the poison filled glass-on the verge of tipping over. What it doesn't realize is that it is not trapped at all and can easily escape if it wishes to do so.

Anyone who owns a cat will know how much they just love to be in your personal space. I have 4 cats and they are always around me in my studio when i paint. I have a shadow box where i set up my still life ideas for paintings and suddenly I saw that my cheeky baby cat had crawled in there and knocked everything down. She looked at me as if to say "who me??! and the lighting that fell on her little face reminded me of a Rembrandt portrait that i had seen at the national Gallery. I decided to paint her in the clothes of Rembrandt and call it " The cats whiskers".

“Blue Chequered Hen Pigeon, Serial Number NEHU 40 NSL”, known, to those who knew her, as Winkie, was one of the group of three pigeons that were the first recipients of the Dickin medal; a medal emblazoned with the words ‘For Gallantry’ and ‘We also serve’.

Danish noblewoman and horticulturalist with knowledge of astronomy, chemistry, and medicine. She worked alongside her brother Tycho Brahe in making astronomical observations. she assisted with a set of observations on 11 November 1572, which led to the discovery of the supernova that is now called SN 1572, as well as observations of the 8 December 1573 lunar eclipse.

Hijab Imtiaz Ali (1908–1999) was a writer, editor and diarist. She is a well known name in Urdu literature and a pioneer of romanticism in Urdu.[1] She is also considered as the first female Muslim pilot after she obtained her official pilot license in 1936.
